The capsicum spray comic was another absurd take on my other vocational life.

Capsicum, or ‘OC’ spray, had not long been introduced and I thought it funny that a vegetable derivative could prevent me being torn apart by an enraged 6’5″ speed freak coming at me like an express train. Anyway, I started thinking about alternative uses. I quite like the odd bit of capsicum on my pizza, and I reckoned capsicum spray would double as a tangy condiment. So I imagined it proudly sitting on the dinner table with the salt and pepper and tomato sauce.
I did get to experience capsicum spray once. Voluntary exposure was offered as part of police training. It burnt like blazes!
